The Neumann Regional Academy Golden Knights were the  70-60 winner over the Montoursville Warriors when they last played one another  back in February of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Neumann Regional Academy ended up on the wrong side of a  tough 71-48 walloping at the hands of Montoursville on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Neumann Regional Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage  in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings  (they are ranked 454th, while Montoursville is ranked 154th).
 Neumann Regional Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Jozef Savage, who  dropped  a double-double on 11 points and ten  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Andrew Walter, who  scored 14 points.
 Neumann Regional Academy  struggled to work together and  finished the game with only four  assists. They  were crushed by their opponents in that department as Montoursville  racked up 16  assists.
  Quinn Ranck was  his usual excellent self,  scoring 21 points along with five  assists and two  steals for Montoursville. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jimmy Mussina, who  scored 13 points along with two  steals.
 Neumann Regional Academy has  traveled a rocky road recently having  lost three of their last four games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season. As for Montoursville, their victory was  their fifth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 14-6.
 Neumann Regional Academy won't have much time to rest: their next  game is against Bucktail at 7:30  p.m.  on February 7th. Neumann Regional Academy is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 54.9  points per game this season. As for Montoursville, they will head out on the road to  take on  Muncy at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Muncy will roll in looking for their  eighth straight  win, something Montoursville surely won't give up without a fight.
