Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter (Indianapolis, Ind.) kept up a steady attack all game long to defeat
Speedway (Ind.), 35-10, on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Logan Beaman touchdown run in the first quarter, the Raiders led 14-3 at the half.
Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter expanded its lead to 25 points entering the fourth quarter. ICR scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown pass by
Jake Purichia to
Tommy Waites.
With the win the Indianapolis school extended its winning streak to seven games. Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter defeated Monrovia 48-12 last week.
Speedway's lone touchdown came on a 37-yard pass from
Nick McCormick to
Jordan Furlow in the fourth quarter.
The Raiders entered the contest giving up 22.3 points per game this year. A defensively strong Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter kept the Sparkplugs well below the 33.1 points it had been averaging per game.
The loss comes after Speedway defeated Cascade 39-0 last week. The loss ended Speedway's two-game winning streak.
