Irondale is 0-9 against East Ridge since December of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Irondale Knights will head out on the road to square off against the East Ridge Raptors at 7:00 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Irondale has struggled recently with 13 defeats in a row, while East Ridge will arrive with nine straight wins.
Irondale pushed their score all the way to 67 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Stillwater 72-67. While losing is never fun, Irondale can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 291st, while Stillwater is ranked 127th).
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Cameron Cramble, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. He hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for ten straight games. Rowan Granlund was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Meanwhile, East Ridge can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They blew past Park 83-49 at home.
Irondale's loss was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-19. As for East Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.
Irondale was dealt a bruising 85-32 loss at the hands of East Ridge when the teams last played back in January. Can Irondale avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
