Nelsonville-York took a serious blow against Vinton County, falling 65-38. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Nelsonville-York has scored all season.
Several Buckeyes players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Andrew Conner, who scored eight points. Another player making a difference was Bean Martin, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Nelsonville-York has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-4 record this season. As for Vinton County, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 7-0.
Nelsonville-York won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Miller at 11:15 a.m. on December 23rd. Miller is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 51.3 points per game. Vinton County will finish 2023 at home by hosting Chillicothe at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Chillicothe will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 509th, while Vinton County is ranked 106th).
