Basketball Recap: Timberline Piles Up the Points Against Taylorsville

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Timberline). They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Taylorsville Warriors 80-45. Given the Wolves' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 28th in Idaho, while the Warriors are ranked 109th in Utah), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Logan Bertagnolli, who posted 11 points along with six rebounds and three blocks. Bertagnolli is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last six games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kobe Allen, who put up 17 points.

The win got Timberline back to even at 2-2. As for Taylorsville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.

Timberline didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 58-42 victory against American Fork on the 14th. As for Taylorsville, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 56-46 win against Summit Academy on the 17th.
