The Allen Eagles entered their tilt with the Eastwood Troopers with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Allen took down Eastwood 75-59 on Thursday. Given Allen's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while Eastwood is ranked 109th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
When it comes to explaining why Eastwood lost, one person who can't be blamed is Devin Falk-Ramirez. Despite the final result, he scored 20 points. Falk-Ramirez scored a full 33.9% of Eastwood's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Bennett, who scored 13 points.
Allen is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season. As for Eastwood, their loss dropped their record down to 7-2.
Allen's road trip will continue as they head out to face King at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st. As for Eastwood, they will take on Memorial at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
