Given Palisades' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 129th, while Berry is ranked 367th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Joshua Truesdale went supernova for Palisades, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Truesdale has scored all season. Tymon Simpkins was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with seven rebounds.
Defeat or not, Berry got some senior leadership from Zymiere Chester and Savion Kinard. Chester scored 13 points along with eight rebounds and two steals, while Kinard. scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Palisades is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. As for Berry, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-13.
Palisades will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Myers Park at 7:30 p.m. Myers Park will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak. As for Berry, they will head out on the road to challenge South Mecklenburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
