The North Creek Jaguars suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Tuesday. They were beaten by Mount Si 93-48. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for North Creek in their matchups with Mount Si: they've now lost eight in a row.
Several Jaguars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Silas Woodward, who scored 11 points. Romen Jackson was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with three steals.
It was another big night for Trevor Hennig, who shot 4-for-5 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 29 points and ten rebounds for Mount Si. Hennig is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Blake Forrest, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 assists.
North Creek's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 8-6. As for Mount Si, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Creek will square off against Eastlake at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Eastlake will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Washington Rankings (they are ranked 317th, while North Creek is ranked 107th). As for Mount Si, they will head out on the road to take on Skyline at 8:15 p.m. on Friday. Skyline knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Mount Si likes a good challenge.
