The Putnam County War Eagles can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They blew past Westside 74-14 on the road. With Putnam County ahead 45-4 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Kamyra Aikens continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 15 points along with five rebounds and three steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last ten games she's played. Another player making a difference was Melody Richardson, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Putnam County's win bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Westside, their defeat was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-14.
Putnam County will head out on the road to face off against Washington County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Washington County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up seven on Saturday. As for Westside, they will be playing at home against Glenn Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Glenn Hills is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak.
