Hannibal had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Bowling Green Bobcats 56-28 on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won five in a row.

Despite the defeat, Bowling Green saw an underclassman step up: freshman Jocee Mahar posted five points.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hannibal will take on Fort Zumwalt East at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bowling Green, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Wright City at 5:30 p.m. on December 9.
