Fans got a thrill when Gage Blasi and Ricky Sparks connected against Henninger. The longest such play in Section 3 Class AA 2 this season, the connection resulted in 77 yards.
Fayetteville-Manlius was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating West Genesee. The Hornets came in at 11 in the state poll after placing at number 26 last week.
Baker's dynamic duo of Blasi and Sparks proved tough for the Black Knights to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Blasi threw for 124 yards and Sparks had 77 yards receiving. John Mercurio helped Baker's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 39 yards.

J'von Evans was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 14 carries, he ran for 110 yards as Proctor bested the Black Knights.
Sparks was the best receiver in the league this week as the Bees topped Henninger.
Rome Free Academy's Angus Evans and Eddie Campos have formed a dream team this season, leading Section 3 Class AA 2 in both passing and receiving yards. 6-5 quarterback Evans has thrown for 234 yards this season, while Campos has 8 catches for 105 yards. Baker's Sparks leads the league in rushing yards with 404.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Fayetteville-Manlius takes on second place Baker. Fayetteville-Manlius beat the Wildcats last week, while the Bees bested the Black Knights.
Baker and Henninger played the most contested game in the league this week, with Baker eventually emerging with a 10-7 victory. Sparks ran for 103 yards in the win.
