Landyn Hiles Turns in Season-Best Effort
Landyn Hiles produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Mescalero Apache to the win on Friday. Hiles rushed for 273 yards and five touchdowns on only 15 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards.
For the season, Hiles has run in 14 touchdowns while averaging 145.2 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he had six rushing touchdowns.

Jaxon Odom's big game helped extend Melrose's winning streak to 18 on Friday. Odom was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 52 yards.
Melrose's win was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0. Odom and Melrose will host Mescalero Apache at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Melrose Gets a Boost from Roybal in 62-16 Victory
Josiah Roybal was instrumental in extending Melrose's winning streak to 18 on Friday. Roybal did his part (and then some), throwing for 270 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes, and also rushing for 69 yards and a touchdown for the 'W'. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 50 yards.

Brayden Eldridge Delivers Best Effort of Season
Melrose picked up their 18th consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Brayden Eldridge. Eldridge turned in his biggest game of the season, picking up 115 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 60 yards and a touchdown. He showed off some serious burst, lighting up the secondary with a catch for 60 yards.
Eldridge and Melrose will look to defend their home field on Friday against Mescalero Apache at 7:00 p.m. The contest will pit Eldridge up against the Chiefs' star rusher Landyn Hiles. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.
