The Lander Valley Tigers suffered their closest defeat yet this season on Thursday. They fell just short of Lyman by a score of 40-37. Lander Valley has struggled against Lyman recently, as their match on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Among those leading the charge was BriLee Bradshaw, who scored 14 points along with four steals. She hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Payton Anderson was another key contributor, scoring four points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Lander Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Lyman, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Lander Valley's road trip will continue as they head out to face Pinedale at 5:30 p.m. on January 26th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Wyoming (Pinedale is ranked ninth, while Lander Valley is ranked 17th). Lyman won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Evanston on January 19th. Evanston comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
