Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Goreville). They came out on top against the Eldorado Eagles by a score of 46-39 on Wednesday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Blackcats as it put an end to their 18-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Goreville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaidyn Wiesen, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Wiesen a new career-high in points. Chasey Peas was another key player, putting up eight points and six boards.

Goreville smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Goreville's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-17. As for Eldorado, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost 11 of their last 12 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-15 record this season.

Goreville will take on Woodlawn at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. Woodlawn will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Goreville surely won't give up without a fight. As for Eldorado, they will be playing at home against Flora at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
