On Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Yoakum beat New Braunfels 45-39.
Yoakum was led to victory by Jayana Phillips and Olivia Fojt. Phillips scored 14 points, while Fojt scored 11 points along with 6 steals.
Yoakum's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for New Braunfels, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-9 record this season.
