Clinton has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Hernando Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Clinton walked away with it. Their defense stepped up to hand the Jaguars a 7-0 shutout on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for Clinton, who have now won ten matches by three goals or more so far this season.
Their offense was hitting DeSoto Central from everywhere, as six different players booted in a goal.
Meanwhile, Hernando came into Tuesday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Starkville by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday.
Clinton's victory bumped their record up to 18-1-4. As for Hernando, they pushed their record up to 15-3-1 with that win, which was their eighth straight at home.
