The Branchville Yellow Jackets won the last time they faced the Lake Marion Gators, and things went their way on Friday too. Branchville snuck past Lake Marion with a 51-46 win.
Branchville found their leader in underclassman Kyran Glover, who scored 13 points along with 3 steals. Jackson Sheppard was another key contributor, scoring 8 points along with 5 assists and 3 steals.
Despite the loss, Lake Marion still got an impressive performance from Mason Miles, who scored 14 points along with 6 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jordan Gorham, who scored 6 points along with 6 rebounds.
The win got Branchville back to even at 1-1. As for Lake Marion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Branchville will look to defend their home court on Friday against North at 8:00 p.m. Lake Marion won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Cross at 5:00 p.m. on December 2nd. Hopefully Cross focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Friday.
