Sheridan waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with eight straight wins... but they left with nine. Everything went their way against the Liberty Union Lions as they made off with a 13-3 victory. Considering the Generals have won 13 contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Connor Roshon was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Roshon was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Noah Wamer and Camdyn Packer did most of the damage at the plate: Wamer earned three runs and two stolen bases, while Packer went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those two stolen bases gave Wamer a new career-high. Another player making a difference was James Solomon, who went 1-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Sheridan kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive games.
