Plumstead Christian's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Collegium Charter 10-0. The victory continues a trend for Plumstead Christian in their matchups with Collegium Charter: they've now won eight in a row.
Declan Glass made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). Glass was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Santi Torres was excellent, scoring a run while going 1-for-2. Another player making a difference was Michael Dear, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Meanwhile, Dock Mennonite had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Knights.
Like Plumstead Christian, Dock Mennonite also got a great game from a two-way player: Jasiah Stachelek. Throwing, Stachelek tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Drew Bradica tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. At bat, Stachelek went 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI, while Bradica scored a run while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jackson Korne, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Kratz, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Dock Mennonite was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Dock Mennonite's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Plumstead Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
Plumstead Christian was able to grind out a solid win over Dock Mennonite in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, winning 9-5. Does Plumstead Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Dock Mennonite turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
