Not much got past Emma Carne, who gave up just three hits to keep Orestimba off the board. Carne has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Hughson's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Presley Wells, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Allison Moring was another, going 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double.
Hilmar is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. Hughson's win bumped their record up to 7-4-1.
