Winning always takes teamwork, but on Monday Mylie Hughes stepped things up a notch to give Morris the 'W'. Hughes wasn't messing around, striking out seven batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and five unearned) runs off eight hits. The pitching appearance was her sixth straight with two or fewer walks.

Coming up, Hughes and Morris will square off against Ottawa at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hughes had to take a loss the last time the two teams duked it out, losing their match back in May of 2024 5-3.
