The Innovation Montessori Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Warner Christian Academy 62-31. Innovation Montessori was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-11.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Owen Lofiego, who scored 9 points along with 3 steals. Lofiego is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season.
Warner Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Christian Nicholas, who scored 15 points along with 8 rebounds and 8 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden South , who scored 21 points.
Innovation Montessori's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Warner Christian Academy, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Innovation Montessori will take on Real Life Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Real Life Christian Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Thursday. As for Warner Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Circle Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Circle Christian comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
