The Alba-Golden Panthers had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They enjoyed a cozy 67-51 win over King's Academy on Friday. The victory was just what Alba-Golden needed coming off of a 48-26 loss in their prior game.
Despite the loss, King's Academy still got an impressive performance from Nick Atkinson, who scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jace Rickelman, who scored 5 points.
Alba-Golden's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for King's Academy, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Alba-Golden is on the road again on Thursday and play against Big Sandy at 2:30 p.m. on December 7th. King's Academy won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent at 10:30 a.m. on December 2nd.
