Elizabeth won against Bennett on Saturday with 11 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Cardinals were the clear victors by an 11-3 margin over the Sand Creek Scorpions. The Cardinals might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by six runs or more this season.

Cade Taylor was a standout: he went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Moons, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Elizabeth was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .448. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Elizabeth's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 8-3. As for Sand Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Elizabeth beat the Scorpions by a score of 4-3 on Thursday.
