Williamsburg Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Florence Christian apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played on January 5th.
Williamsburg Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Caleb Wright, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wright has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Conrad Balder, who scored 15 points.
Taylor Greene continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Florence Christian, scoring 30 points along with nine rebounds. Juels Huntley was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.
Williamsburg Academy's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-2. As for Florence Christian, their win bumped their record up to 3-14.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Williamsburg Academy will take on Lee Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Lee Academy is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. As for Florence Christian, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Christian Academy at 8:00 p.m. on January 26th. Christian Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Florence Christian in South Carolina (Christian Academy is ranked 109th, while Florence Christian is ranked 245th).
