Tri-River recap Oct. 3, 2012
Tyler Fry and Adam Soesman provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Stockdale. The connection went for 80 yards, the longest such play in Tri-River this season.
Buchanan's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Fry threw for 304 and two touchdowns and Soesman had 99 yards receiving. On the ground Billy East chipped in 85 yards. Scott Sakamoto helped Buchanan's passing attack out by catching 10 balls for 84 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Fry and East the Bears have been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Fry leads the league in passing with 1185 yards, while East has rushed for 460 yards this season. Clovis's Logan Poisall leads the league in receiving yards with 317 on 29 catches.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Central takes on Buchanan. The Grizzlies are currently in second, while Mike Vogt's team is in fifth.
The Cougars made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 268 from 337.
