Wiley scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 57-50 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Kit Carson Wildcats. The Panthers' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Wiley lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Rhett McDonald, who posted 22 points. That was a full 44% of Wiley's points, marking the third time in a row he's scored more than a third of the team's points. Ryan Wittman also deserves some recognition as he scored his first points of the season.

Kit Carson's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Junior Farmer, who went 6 of 8 en route to 17 points. Another player making a difference was Josiah Irwin, who went 5 for 11 on his way to 14 points and six boards.

Wiley now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Kit Carson, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
