Leading Luther to victory were Lenny Cruz and Tristan Elcock. Cruz scored 16 points along with five assists and five steals, while Elcock scored 20 points along with five assists and five steals. The contest was Elcock's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gavin Hugine, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Renaissance's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Luther, the victory got them back to even at 5-5.
Renaissance will be playing in front of their home fans against Law Enforcement & Public Safety at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Law Enforcement & Public Safety is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. As for Luther, they will head out on the road to face off against Woodmere Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Woodmere Academy presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Luther in New York (Woodmere Academy is ranked 180th, while Luther is ranked 439th).
