Basketball Recap: Hough Gets the Win + How To Watch

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Hough to victory, but perhaps none more so than Blair Haines, who posted 15 points and seven rebounds. Haines has become a key player for the Huskies: the team is undefeated when she posts at least 15 points, but 1-2 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Kate Breault, who had ten points along with six boards and three steals.

When it comes to explaining why Chapel Hill lost, don't look at Scarlett Gilner. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double with 14 points and ten rebounds. Gilner is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last five games she's played. Zoe Smith was another key player, putting up seven points and eight boards.

Hough's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Chapel Hill, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Hough will host Statesville at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chapel Hill, they are taking a road trip to square off against Heritage at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
