On Friday Mead take on University at 7:00 PM. After both teams made easy work of their previous opponents, one of them is set up to suffer a discouraging change of fortune.
Mead were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They blew past North Central 35-8. The Mead offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the contest anyway.
University won against Rogers last Thursday with 33 points, and University decided to stick to that point total again last Thursday. University took their game against Rogers by a conclusive 33-0 score. University have a history of success against Rogers, winning their last head-to-head 33-0.
Their wins bumped Mead to 3-1 and University to 4-1. With both University and Mead swaggering in after impressive performances, it will be interesting to see which team steps up to teach the other some humility.
