Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet pushed their score all the way to 64 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 65-64 to Glencliff. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their last game two weeks ago (63), Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet still had to take the loss.
Meanwhile, Hume-Fogg waltzed into their match on Tuesday with two straight wins but they left with three. They came out on top against Lawson by a score of 49-40.
Hume-Fogg can attribute much of their success to Michael Nwoye, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 13 rebounds, and Alonzo Rhodes, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. Rhodes hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Miles Rucker, who scored five points.
Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season. As for Hume-Fogg, they pushed their record up to 11-6 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
