Bangor is 10-0 against the Rockets since March of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Bangor Cardinals will head out on the road to take on the New Lisbon Rockets at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Bangor focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Thursday.
Last Thursday, Bangor was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 52-51 to the Tigers. Bangor has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Bangor's loss came about despite a quality game from Chase Horstman, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Nolan Michek, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, New Lisbon had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Wonewoc-Center 71-43 on the road. The win was just what New Lisbon needed coming off of a 71-34 defeat in their prior contest.
Bangor's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for New Lisbon, their win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-14.
Everything came up roses for Bangor against the Rockets in their previous matchup back in January as the team secured a 68-28 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bangor since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
