The Conway Christian Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the South Side Hornet at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.
South Side will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Conway Christian extended their winning streak to four on Monday. The Eagles put the hurt on Hector with a sharp 15-2 victory. Considering the Eagles have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Isaiah Brister and Xander Stone were a major factor while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Brister pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Stone pitched two innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. What's more, Brister posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. At the plate, Brister scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Stone scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Stone has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played.
In other batting news, Bryce Keathley was a standout: he scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Ace Koehler was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Side). They never let Mt. Vernon-Enola get on the board and left with a 15-0 win on Friday. The Hornet haven't had any issues with the Warhawks recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.
Like Conway Christian, South Side also got a great game from a two-way player: Jacob Mahan. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. Mahan was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, South Side let Haze Hulse and Cody Kuykendoll run wild. Hulse scored two runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4, while Kuykendoll went 2-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Case Walls, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
South Side always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .700. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
South Side's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-6. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Conway Christian, their record now sits at 10-2.
Conway Christian suffered a grim 14-4 defeat to South Side when the teams last played back in March of 2022. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
