The Bayfield Wolverines will be taking part in a tournament against the Rifle Bears  at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday.
Bayfield came into their game  on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against  Montrose, falling  12-2. The Wolverines haven't had much luck with the Red Hawks recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
 Bayfield saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Tavian Box, who  went 1-for-2 with two  stolen bases.
Meanwhile, Rifle made easy work of Montrose  on Friday and carried off  a  7-1 victory.
  Robbie Magnuson was  excellent,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances. Another  was  Josh Wright, who  went 2-for-3 with one  double.
 Bayfield's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Rifle,  the  win  got them back to even at 2-2.
