The Brookville Bees will head out on the road to square off against the Liberty Minutemen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brookville is hoping to put an end to a four-game streak of away losses.
Last Wednesday, Brookville came up short against William Campbell and fell 46-36.
Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, Liberty's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Glass by a score of 42-40. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Liberty has suffered yet this season.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Shania Brown, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 16 rebounds. Brown is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Brooke Harrison, who scored six points along with 13 rebounds.
Brookville's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.
Brookville came up short against Liberty in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, falling 63-51. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Brown, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 23 rebounds. Now that Brookville knows the damage she can cause, will they be able to stop her this time? There's only one way to find out.
