The Nathan Hale Raiders couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by Klahowya at home  and fell  51-5. Nathan Hale was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at  36-3.
 Klahowya found their leader in underclassman  Shyanne Kilmer, who  dropped  a double-double on 19 points and 10  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Bailey O'Brien, who  scored 2 points along with 8  rebounds and 8  steals.
 Nathan Hale's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Klahowya, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
 Nathan Hale will be playing in front of their home fans against Cleveland at 5:30  p.m.  on Friday. Cleveland and Nathan Hale are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Klahowya, they will head out on the road to face off against Port Townsend at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday.
