Port of Los Angeles' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Gared Almazan led the charge by scoring 21 points along with 7 assists and 4 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Almazan has scored at least 25% of Port of Los Angeles' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hudson Smith, who scored 15 points along with 8 assists and 7 rebounds.
Animo Leadership now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Port of Los Angeles, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.
