While losing is never fun, Metro-East Lutheran can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 373rd, while Marquette Catholic are ranked 89th).

Althoff Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 12-6-2. As for Metro-East Lutheran, their loss dropped their record down to 1-16.
