Basketball Recap: Sharyland Starts off Right with Win over Mission

Sharyland took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Friday. They blew past the Mission Eagles 66-17. That's more bragging rights for the Rattlers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Ebonie Chatman was a one-woman wrecking crew as she shot 4-for-6 from deep and almost dropped a double-double with 29 points and nine steals. Alisela Rangel was another key player, going 5-for-10 to rack up 12 points and five steals.

Sharyland was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mission only posted two.

When it comes to explaining why Mission lost, don't look at CAMILA BIEN-AIME. Despite the final result, she posted six points.

Sharyland has already played their next contest, a 63-37 victory against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo on the 11th. As for Mission, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 66-25 defeat against St. Joseph Academy on the 13th.
