On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Randle's defense and their four sacks. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece. They got some further help from Noriel Dominguez: he picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made 11 total tackles (2.0 for loss).

Randle better keep an eye on Gary Jefferson Jr.. Jefferson Jr. was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 53 yards. Another player making a difference was Weston Nielsen, who threw for 218 yards and three TDs.
Wins are hard to come by when you can't run the rock, something Bastrop proved: they limited University to a paltry three yards per carry. The Bears didn't have any issues in that department, having averaged 10.6.
Bastrop pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 37.2 points. As for Randle, their record now sits at 12-0.
