The Northview Wildcats's homestand continues as they prepare to take on the Wauseon Indians at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. Both teams come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Northview beat the Blue Devils 53-41.
Meanwhile, Wauseon came tearing into Saturday's matchup with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down Springfield 62-46. Given Wauseon's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 208th, while the Blue Devils are ranked 513th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Northview's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-9. As for Wauseon, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-5.
Everything came up roses for Northview against the Indians in their previous meeting back in January of 2022 as the team secured a 72-37 victory. Does Northview have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
