Clyde has enjoyed the comforts of home their last four games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Norwalk Truckers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Clyde scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They took down Vermilion 65-48. That looming 65-48 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Clyde yet this season.
Katie Shiets was her usual excellent self, scoring 20 points along with eight rebounds. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Clyde's points. Another player making a difference was Tatum Jeffrey, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Meanwhile, Norwalk entered their tilt with Sandusky with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Norwalk came out on top against Sandusky by a score of 46-38 on Saturday. Given Norwalk's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 149th, while Sandusky is ranked 657th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Clyde now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Norwalk, their victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0.
Clyde came up short against Norwalk in their previous matchup back in January, falling 47-43. Can Clyde avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
