Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hickory). They had just enough and edged out the Maury Commodores 3-2. Hickory have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Maury on Thursday, too.

Hickory hit Maury with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Kayleigh Belton, Izzy Barrett, and Melissa Zanni.

The victory (which was Hickory's third in a row) raised their record to 4-2-2. As for Maury, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-3.

Hickory and Maury will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time the Hawks see the pitch they'll take on Oscar Smith at 7:00 p.m. on the 22nd. As for Maury, their break will end when they face Woodside at 4:00 p.m. on the 24th.
