St. Mary's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's fifth consecutive shutout on Wednesday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the South O'Brien Wolverines a 15-0 shutout. Considering the Hawks have won 11 matches by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

St. Mary's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for South O'Brien, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Mary's will venture away from home to square off against Akron-Westfield on Friday. As for South O'Brien, they will challenge Sioux Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
