After having lost a blowout in their previous game against South Vermillion, the North Vermillion Falcons were happy to have found some success on Friday. They put the hurt on Riverton Parke with a sharp 65-41 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as North Vermillion also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Owen Edwards was his usual excellent self, scoring 25 points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cody Tryon, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds.
North Vermillion's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Riverton Parke, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-15.
North Vermillion will be playing at home against Fountain Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Indiana (North Vermillion is ranked 320th, while Fountain Central is ranked 311th). As for Riverton Parke, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 58-56 loss vs. Shakamak on the 10th.
