Benedictine has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against John Hay at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Tuesday, Benedictine came up short against Revere and fell 65-53. Benedictine has not had much luck with Revere recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
The losing side was boosted by Damone Darmond, who scored ten points along with five rebounds. Kris Smith was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, John Hay pushed their score all the way to 69 last Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 79-69 to Rhodes.
Benedictine has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for John Hay, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-8.
Benedictine was able to grind out a solid victory over John Hay in their previous matchup back in December of 2021, winning 79-68. The rematch might be a little tougher for Benedictine since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
