The Gainesville Hurricanes won the last time they faced the Buchholz Bobcats, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Gainesville came out on top in a nail-biter against Buchholz and snuck past 47-44. The win made it back-to-back wins for Gainesville.
Jocelyn Wallace continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 17 points and 12 rebounds. That's the first time this season that she scored 15 or more points. Jayden Terry was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why Buchholz lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jamison Cardwell. Despite the final result, she scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Kennedy Wyckoff, who scored six points.
Gainesville's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-4. As for Buchholz, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing P.K. Yonge the next time they take the court. Buchholz will host P.K. Yonge at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while Gainesville will host them at 7:00 p.m. on December 18th.
