Meanwhile, Atkinson County came up short against Brantley County on Friday and fell 63-53. While losing is never fun, Atkinson County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 398th, while Brantley County is ranked 131st).
Jeff Davis' defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Atkinson County, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
Jeff Davis didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Atkinson County in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 72-66 win.
