On Saturday, Westview earned a 62-53 victory over Gretna. The win made it back-to-back wins for Westview.
Westview found their leader in underclassman Stella Williams, who went 6 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 21 points and 1 assist. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Williams has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Olivia Ross, who scored 13 points along with two steals.
Gretna's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Maggie Miller, who scored 12 points, and Emma Martin who scored 11 points.
Westview's victory bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Gretna, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
Westview will head out on the road to take on Gretna East at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Gretna, they will be playing at home against Papillion-LaVista South at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Papillion-LaVista South will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
