Basketball Game Preview: Schaumburg Christian Conquerors vs. Christian Liberty Chargers

The Schaumburg Christian Conquerors will face off against the Christian Liberty Chargers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Schaumburg Christian is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Last Friday, Schaumburg Christian was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 41-37 to Cristo Rey St. Martin.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Giada Falco, who posted 20 points and six steals. Falco is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least four every time she's taken the court this season. Stephanie Tenuto was another key player, putting up four points in addition to ten rebounds and six assists.

Even though they lost, Schaumburg Christian smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 15 offensive boards in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, a well-balanced attack led Christian Liberty over Marquette Manor Baptist Academy in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Christian Liberty enjoyed a cozy 39-22 win over Marquette Manor Baptist Academy. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Chargers as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Christian Liberty's win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-8. As for Schaumburg Christian, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 3-8.

Schaumburg Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Christian Liberty in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 42-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for Schaumburg Christian since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
